Associate: Addendum to Company Handbook: Waiver of 90-Day Probationary Period
ADDENDUM TO COMPANY HANDBOOK
Waiver of 90-Day Probationary Period
This addendum to the BridgehouseLaw Company Handbook outlines the conditions under which the standard 90-day probationary period for new employees may be waived. This waiver is applicable to specific employment benefits that are typically withheld during the probationary period.
Eligibility for Probationary Period Waiver: A new employee may be eligible for a waiver of the 90-day probationary period if they have successfully completed an internship of 90 days or more at BridgehouseLaw within the last 12 months prior to their date of hire.
Benefits Included in the Waiver:
-
- Company Laptop and Offsite Use: Eligible employees will receive their company laptop and may use it offsite beginning on their first day of employment.
- Unlimited PTO: This includes sick leave, which will be available from the first day of employment without the usual 90-day waiting period.
- Work-From-Anywhere (WFA) Policy: Eligible employees may participate in the Work-From-Anywhere policy from their first day of employment.
Conditions and Limitations: While the 90-day probationary period waiver grants immediate access to the above benefits, it is contingent upon the employee’s adherence to all company policies. BridgehouseLaw reserves the right to revoke this waiver and reinstate the standard 90-day probationary period if the employee is found to be abusing these privileges. If a waiver is revoked due to policy abuse or infractions, the 90-day probationary period will reset and begin on the day the abuse or infraction is identified.
Implementation: Human Resources will identify eligible employees and manage the distribution of benefits in accordance with this addendum. All managers are required to monitor compliance and report any potential abuses as outlined above.
Acknowledgment: By accepting the probationary period waiver, employees acknowledge their understanding of these terms and agree to comply with all conditions as stated. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disciplinary action, up to and including the reinstatement of the probationary period.
Amendment: This addendum is subject to amendment or withdrawal by BridgehouseLaw at its discretion and without prior notice.
