Kristin advises clients on U.S. corporate and business law. She has experience with corporate transactions, commercial real estate transactions including those involving subsidies from county and state government entities, corporate compliance and employment law.
She regularly consults with clients on commercial contracts, business negotiations, and takes a business-minded approach to addressing legal issues. She presented on US Products Liability and Corporate Law at the 2017 German American Business Association seminar in Stuttgart, Germany. Ms. Whalen also has in-house corporate counsel experience garnered during her clerkships with Family Dollar Stores, Inc. and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Ms. Whalen’s experiences of studying and teaching in Germany and Austria have provided her with insight into the culture, politics, and history of these countries.
Prior to beginning her career in law, Ms. Whalen was a high school German teacher for eight years in New Jersey.
