North Carolina attracts Apple and the nation’s largest private fuel cell energy project
April 5, 2012
We previously reported on our blog about Apple’s green North Carolina data center. It turns out that Apple is now building a 4.8 MW fuel cell power plant at the same site in Maiden, NC. It will be the largest such power plant not built by a utility company.
The fuel cells will be made by Bloom Energy, which has also delivered so-called Bloom Boxes to companies such as Google, Walmart and FedEx.
