U.S. raises airline threat to highest level
August 11, 2006
The U.S. government raised its threat warning to the highest level for commercial flights from Britain to the United States early Thursday, in response to a terror plot thwarted in London. So if you are traveling from Germany this may be not as bad as if you were to travel from the UK, but think of some delays.
Now the alarm is red. This is the first time the red alert level, defined as designating a “severe risk of terrorist attacks,” has been invoked in the U.S. Homeland Security warning system.
Enjoy the travel!
