GABA Seminars Return to Munich – November 10 & 11

Thinking about entering the U.S. market, or already doing business in the United States?

There is still time to join the German American Business Association (GABA) for two days of practical, hands-on seminars in Munich designed specifically for German and European companies navigating the U.S. market.

For more than a decade, GABA has brought together experienced German and U.S. professionals to help companies understand not only the opportunities of doing business in America, but also the legal, financial, operational and cultural challenges that can accompany U.S. expansion.

November 10 – Successfully Entering the U.S. Market

The US Market Entry Seminar is designed for decision-makers considering or preparing for expansion into the United States.

Rather than looking at U.S. expansion from only one perspective, the seminar brings together specialists covering the different pieces a company must consider when establishing operations in America, from choosing the appropriate corporate structure and location to taxation, banking, insurance, personnel, immigration and operational planning.

BridgehouseLaw Chairman & Founder and GABA Vice Chairman Reinhard von Hennigs will address several of the legal issues companies face when entering the United States, including corporate formation, visas and work authorization, and protecting the German parent company from U.S. liability exposure.

November 11 – Managing the Risks of Doing Business in America

Already operating in the United States?

The Risk Management Seminar focuses on the next challenge: identifying and reducing the risks that arise once a company has established U.S. operations or is otherwise doing business in the American market.

Topics include U.S. litigation and discovery, product liability, corporate governance, management liability, taxation and transfer pricing, employment and recruiting, insurance, acquisitions and the continued development of a U.S. subsidiary.

The objective is practical: help companies recognize potential problems before they become expensive ones.

GABA has organized U.S.-focused seminars since 2012, bringing together professionals with extensive firsthand experience working on both sides of the Atlantic.

The seminars are intended to give attendees practical information they can take back to their organizations, whether they are considering their first step into the United States or already managing an established American operation.
